Board Advisors

Alvin Lee is a cross-sector leader with 15 years of experience across finance, tech, government, and non-profits. At Temasek Trust, he drives strategy, enterprise risk, enterprise development, & AI business adoption, and serves as Board Advisor to the Singapore Digital Chamber of Commerce. Formerly as a first Group Chief of Staff in Singlife, he coordinated the Singlife-Aviva merger, and drives innovation at the nexus of technology, digital business, and sustainable growth.

Roger Wong

President

Mike Roger is a businessman and the founding president of Singapore Digital Chamber of Commerce Foundation (SGDCC). He started this association with a mission – connecting enterprises with policymakers and communities to harvest from the digital economy in Asia.

Roger started his career in public relations, providing strategic counsel to technology clients such as IBM, Datacraft, Microsoft. Thereafter, he was headhunted to join MobileOne (M1), Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) and Comat Training (Singapore Technologies’ subsidiary) to champion various digital initiatives in Singapore. When he left his stint in the corporate world, Roger became an investor and started several businesses (including AI, Blockchain and eCommerce) and worked with a plethora of companies and individuals to promote proper corporate values for the greater good of society. Since then, he has built a reputation in Asia as not only an entrepreneur but also as a humanitarian and was awarded “Ten Outstanding Young People”. 

He believes strongly in the digitisation of our economies and the revolution of the business landscape, driven by altruistic motivations and a need to upgrade our efficiency in the way we do things. As the president of the Singapore Digital Chamber of Commerce, Roger strives to support the digital revolution.


Roger graduated with a Bachelor degree in Mass Communication from Curtin University. He was the National President of JCI Singapore (2009), President cum Founder of Asia Pacific Business Council for Sustainability, Founder and Master Trainer of Asia Academy.

Mike Chiam

Deputy President

Mike is a commercial lawyer and Deputy General Legal Counsel at SGDCC, where he works hand-in-hand with the general legal counsel on all legal matters pertaining to the organisation. Playing a supporting role to the general legal counsel, he provides legal advise on compliance, investment & finance, M&A and blockchain among other aspects of law.

Mike started out as an Associate in the Corporate Advisory team, and the Blockchain, Cryptocurrency & Initial Coin Offerings (BCI) team at CNP Law. His main areas of practice included corporate advisory, M&A and general commercial law. Since then, he has gained in-depth experience on advising technology start-ups and venture capital firms on fundraising, compliance and regulatory issues, company formation and commercial agreements.

More recently, Mike has branched out into providing clients with advisory on legal issues and regulatory developments in relation to cryptocurrency, online and mobile payments, blockchain applications and ICOs (initial coin offerings). Prior to becoming a commercial lawyer, Mike owned and built business ventures in coworking space and online finance in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Evan Yah

Secretary General

As Secretary General at SGDCC, Evan supports the needs of the board and is responsible for giving direction and clarity to the organisation’s strategic and policy development. His role in communications and administration ensures the smooth functioning of the committee and its meetings.

With a background in banking & finance, Evan is the Vice President for the Transaction Banking Department at Bank of China in its Singapore branch, where he built an extensive network of large Chinese conglomerates, MNCs, listed companies and fund management entities during his time at the bank.

Prior to joining SGDCC, he took on the role of National Secretary General at JCI Singapore, where he was in-charge of the overall operations and communications between 4 local chapters that represented over 100 members. In 2017, he was the National Honorary Treasurer of JCI Singapore, where he managed the finances, ensured the transparency and solvency of this non-profit organisation. Later on in 2018, he became President in one JCI’s City chapter. Under his leadership, JCI City organised projects such as “Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Award” and a major TCM Charity Banquet that raised over S$385,000 for Sian Chay Medical Institution.

Lee Shy Tsong

General Counsel

As the General Legal Counsel of SGDCC, John is the main attorney and takes the lead in all matters pertaining to legal and corporate counsel at the organisation. His role encompasses law-antitrust, patent, trademark protection, merger and acquisition activity, labor and employment law among other areas of legal work.

John was called to the Bar in 1994 and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) degree from National University of Singapore (NUS) back in 1996, as a Kuok Foundation Scholar. In addition to his law degree, he holds an Advance Diploma in Computer Studies. Right after graduation, he joined a prominent law firm in Singapore where he specialised in all areas of intellectual property law. His advisory expertise covers the full spectrum of intellectual property issues, including entertainment law, digital media, internet & IT, electronic commerce, media & advertising. He also deals with the maintenance of IP rights, technology transfers, licensing, franchising, protection of copyright and the like.

Furthermore, he is a registered Patent Agent in Singapore, and a member of the Association of Singapore Patent Agents (ASPA). He is also a registered Trademark and Industrial Design Agent in Malaysia.

Lim Hui Jie

Vice President

Lim Hui Jie is the Vice President of SGDCC. His duties and responsibilities revolves around the development of the organisation, strategic partnerships and development, welfare of members and members engagement.

At the age of 26, Hui Jie became one of the youngest Executive Directors of a London Listed Company. Today Hui Jie has sat on the Board of 3 listed companies and has successfully founded and listed his Company onto the Australia Stock Exchange in 2015, achieving a market valuation over USD $230million on Opening Day.

Hui Jie obtained his EMBA via the EMBA Global-Asia Programme across 3 major financial cities of the world of Hong Kong, London and New York, with the course conducted by Columbia Business School, London Business School and the University of Hong Kong (ranked the top 3 EMBA programs globally by Financial Times). He also holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (specializing in Management and Marketing) from Monash University (Australia) where he graduated with the Monash Golden Key Award.

Anthony Koh

Vice President

Anthony Koh is the Vice President of SGDCC and part of its senior leadership team, where he formulates and implements strategic plans that guides the direction of the organisation. Second only to the President, he takes on a leadership role in the organisation’s operations, supporting the former in scope and duties when a need arises.

With over a decade of experience in the payments industry, Anthony is a leading expert in this field. He is also the co-founder and CEO of MC Payment, which began operations in 2005 and has ever since grown from a startup into an international company, with business operations in countries across the globe. With his firm MC Payment, he has built an established and trusted network of large merchants and financial institutions.

As a serial entrepreneur who started out during the dot com era, Anthony has built a diversified portfolio under his belt. His business acumen, combined with a personal inclination towards technological innovation, has resulted in an array of successes and achievements in the ever-complex payment landscape.

Esther Wee

Esther is a Deputy Vice President at SGDCC, where she adds value to the organisation with her specialised knowledge in intellectual property (IP). Her focus on IP advisory provides a much needed boast to the organisation and its members on IP issuing and protection.

Esther is an IP counsel with Eversheds Harry Elias LLP, where her expertise lies in devising and managing comprehensive IP filing and protection strategies. Notably, apart from protection and enforcement strategies, Esther also assists clients in maximizing the return on their IP investment by advising on licensing or franchising agreements related to corporate acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic business activities. In addition, she is the President of the International Intellectual Property Council (IIPCC), Singapore chapter. She has also recently been appointed a Committee Member of the Anti Counterfeiting Committee for East Asia and Pacific of the International Trademark Association (INTA) for the new term.

Apart from IP advisory, she is also an avid speaker and advocate in educating and raising awareness amongst the public and business owners on ways they can market their IP assets. She has conducted trainings/workshops on IP with prominent organisations, including with Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC) and DBS Bank’s SME Academy for SME Innovation.

Benjamin Ng

Deputy Vice President

As an expert and experienced professional in the financial sector, Ben set the course of his career in Maybank since 2010 until 2014.  From there, he made impressive footprints all over the Asia region. By using digital asset, he established a strong base in Hong Kong and China by managing his client’s financial portfolio.

Driven by strong entrepreneurial spirit and urge toward invigoration of start-up and next generation youngster, Ben has ripened into a venture capitalist.  He incubated numerous start-ups in Singapore, Cambodia, Hong Kong, and China while applauded his very own company to embrace the spirit of digital revolution that has taken place at this very moment.

Chan Chee Seng

Deputy Vice President

Chan Chee Seng is the Deputy Vice President of SGDCC, where his role centers around blockchain and e-commerce digitisation, areas of technological advancements that taps on his expertise. With his knowledge and experience, he will help the organisation to grow its involvement in blockchain and assist with digital transformation processes.

Graduating from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor’s degree in 1997, he was a co-founder of one of Singapore’s earliest online property portal called “Property Online” back in 1998. His passion for e-commerce and digitalisation, resulted in him becoming a lecturer for various prestigious education institutions in Singapore and in China. With a strong foundation in this space, he has since transitioned towards blockchain, cryptocurrency and forex trading, where he has become an advisor for Singapore’s cryptocurrency exchange, Tokenize Exchange and ForexTrainer.org.

Adding to his credentials, Chee Seng is also the Executive Director of Sakae Fintech, a division of Singapore listed company, Sakae Holdings, where he helps to initiative partnerships and collaboration for blockchain development and facilitates linkups between both local and international trade unions and chambers of commerce.

Kenny Tay

CEO

Mr Tay Boon Kiang is the CEO for Singapore Chamber of Commerce Foundation (SGDCC). Handling strategic matters and operations for SGDCC. Managing membership, Government agencies communication, solution providers program and activities.

He had worked in a American Express in a strategic marketing position to handle anti attrition program in his mid-twenties. Thereafter he went on to further into his entrepreneur journey as a trading and marketing company into overseas market that include Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

In 2007, seeing an opportunity in consulting industry, he founded a company to assist organisation in expanding oversea market and improve their productivity within their organisation. His role is not only to manage a team of business consultants in the company but also to provide solutions to business owners so as to guide and assist them in many areas of their business functions and expansions both locally and overseas.

Additional to his profile, he had held various positions in the following organisation:

Richard Sia

Treasurer

Richard Sia is the Treasurer for SGDCC. With a comprehensive background in financial and investment analysis, treasury as well as corporate finance, banking and investor relations, Richard brings a vast amount of finance-related experience and in-depth investment expertise to the table.

After his successful corporate career with Wing Tai Holdings Limited where he held a senior leadership position and mentored a team under him, he took up an advisory role at Omnibridge Capital Pte Ltd. As a management consultant at the company, he provided business-related advice and training to startups and SMEs. During this period, he learnt to identified essential qualities of successful entrepreneurs and gained insights into the real-world challenges business owners face in Singapore. From there he started to conduct business strategy workshops on his own to help individuals and business owners to build a growth mindset and think out of the box.

Richard graduated with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from NUS and is a CFA charterholder since 2001. In addition, he is also a Certified Neuro Linguistic Programming practitioner and an ACTA certified trainer. His core philosophy in business and finance revolves continuous education and personal development, where he believes that one has to constantly learn and adapt to innovation in order to overcome obstacles, exploit opportunities and thrive in an ever-changing world.
